Pray—as a first resort [Sermon]

Prayer.

We know it’s important, right? But if that’s the case, why do we often pray as a last resort, instead of as a first resort?

Yes, some people are doing well with their prayer lives. Others are doing okay. Others, not so much. But there’s good news for those who struggle. Jesus offers us some direction and encouragement to “always pray and not give up.”

In this sermon from July 26, 2020, I take us through Luke 18:1-8, share three helps based on the text, and offer several practical tips for you to bolster your prayer life.

Here is an optional 1-pager to print and fill out as you follow along to help you go deeper with the text: Sermon notes – 2020 07 26 – Praying – as a first resort
