Mental health, a pandemic, and the importance of daily healthy habits – An interview with therapist Sarah Covey

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly.

Sometimes I discuss a featured topic, sometimes share an interview, and sometimes lead a biblical study. This episode is an interview with Registered Psychotherapist Sarah Covey.

We talk about what it’s like to navigate the pandemic now (as opposed to a year ago), being thoughtful about social media, the connection between exercise and mental well-being, why motivation is hard right now, the importance of daily, healthy routines, and fixing our eyes on the goodness of God.

It was a real joy to talk to Sarah. You’ll love what she has to say.

Sarah is the Clinical Director of A New Leaf, providing resources for growth. It is a full psychotherapy practice (with multiple therapists under Sarah’s supervision) and includes a wellness bookshop in the heart of Elmvale, Ontario.

She has her Masters in Counselling Psychology, and a passion for teaching, speaking, leading workshops and classes, working with couples, and the interaction of Christian faith and psychology. She has been married for more than 20 years, and is mom to four redheads (spanning in ages from 10 to 18). She says that if she goes a day without music or nature it doesn’t feel like a good day!

Here is the interview. You can find the resources and links Sarah mentions below.
