What Jesus’ ascension, coronation and control room can mean for you (Growing deeper with Luke 24:50-53)

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly.

It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies.

This episode is the later—a more in-depth look at Luke 24:50-53, Jesus’ ascension to be at his heavenly Father’s right hand.

My gut tells me that a lot of people find this event strange, or perhaps just unimportant. Well, it’s definitely unique, but it’s far from unimportant. In fact, it plays a central role in New Testament faith.

I take us through these four short verses, unpack some of the background and meaning, connect it to the words of the Apostles’ Creed, and highlight how I think a proper understanding of the significance of the ascension can give you less worry and more peace, and less fear and more confidence for the living of difficult days.

You can also link to the sermon based on this same text called “Christ is in the control room” by clicking here. It was delivered on May 16, 2021, Ascension Sunday.
