Courage for the battle behind Christ (Growing Deeper with Hebrews 1:1-3)

Have you ever faced hardship?

Have you ever wondered if Christ actually makes a difference?

Have you ever thought about turning back?

Have you ever wanted confidence and courage no matter what?

Enter the book of Hebrews.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly.

It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies.

This episode is the later—a more in-depth look at Hebrews 1:1-3. This is the start of a longer journey through that book in the autumn of 2021. Therefore, this episode also provides some high-level background and perspective to get us going.

Although the book was written to people in the mid to late 60’s in the first century, the wisdom they received is also relevant for us today as we face our own battles.

This journey through Hebrews is called Radiance. Chapter 1, verse 3 serves as a kind of theme verse for the whole book: “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”

We can have courage for our battles when we have confidence in Christ.

Enjoy!

The sermon that accompanies this same section of text from Hebrews 1:1-3 is from September 12, 2021 and can be accessed here. It’s called “The radiance of Jesus.”
