Jesus’ healing power (even from a distance) and what that tells us about the future and hope (Growing Deeper with John 4:43-54)

There are seven “signs” in John’s Gospel. But these aren’t your everyday road signs. These are divine pointers; they are flesh-and-blood miracles which direct our attention to some greater reality.

One of those signs was when Jesus healed a boy from about 27 kilometres away. Not only did it change his life (and the life of his family), but it taught us something about what God is up to in the world. It teaches us about our future as God’s people, and is a source of hope.

And these days hope is like water in the desert.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—an in-depth look at John 4:43-54. I take us through the text, provide some background, and give us both reasons to hope and opportunities to be hope.

Hope is knowing and showing that better is coming.

Enjoy.
