The Devil is the father of lies, and other truths from Jesus (Growing Deeper with John 8:39-47)

Jesus calls the Devil “the father of lies.” Not something (or someone) to be taken lightly! But many do. What did he mean? Why is the Devil called the “murderer”?

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at John 8:39-47.

I take us through the text, provide some background context, and hopefully give us some food for thought. If you think you’re on a playground when you’re really on a battleground, you’re going to get caught off guard time and time again.

God loves you too much to lie to you. Satan, on the other hand, lies to you because he hates you. You are made in the image of the God he abhors.

Enjoy!
