Abiding in Jesus the true vine, and bearing his fruit (Growing Deeper with John 15:1-17)

Jesus tells us that he is the true vine, that his heavenly Father is the gardener, and that we are the branches. We are to “abide” in Jesus and bear fruit.

This will not only make us faithful, but will give us lives that are full and meaningful, and which will give us… joy!

But what does it mean to abide in him? And what does he mean by bearing fruit?

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at John 15:1-17.

I take us through the text, provide background, and draw out some of the meaning of this statement for our discipleship today.

Enjoy!

The sermon connected with this same section of text is called “Tarrying with a Lord you cannot see.” You can watch or listen here.
