He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High (Growing Deeper with Psalm 91)

It is a psalm for when trouble is near, for battle, and therefore, protection.

Craig Broyles says: “The variety of images allows this psalm to be used for any situation of threat.” We dwell in the shelter of the Most High, our fortress, who covers us with his wings. It is sometimes called the Soldier’s Psalm.

But is this a guarantee of total safety? It’s quoted often, even by Satan.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at Psalm 91.

I take us through the text, share some insights from insightful Christians from time past, and share an encouraging takeaway for troublesome days.

Enjoy!

The sermon that goes along with this same section of text is called “The Lord does battle for you” and can be accessed here.
