Hope when it hurts [Sermon]

Hope. When life hurts, we need it. Big time.

But not some kind of naïve optimism that refuses to face up to the brutal facts of the world we’re living in right now. But a real hope with its eyes wide open, and which also sustains us.

This is what I explored on Palm Sunday 2020. I explained the difference between optimism and hope, took us through Luke 19:28-48, and offered five takeaways for a more robust and biblical hope in a difficult time.

Naïve optimism kills, but real hope sustains.
