Paradise is a Person [Sermon]

A lot of people are dis-content. They are searching.

They are looking to fill a void in their lives. Some attempt to do so by gaining the approval of others, or by becoming “successful,” or by chasing momentary pleasurable experiences.

In this sermon from April 11, 2021, I take us through the story of the risen Jesus meeting two disciples on the road to Emmaus (from Luke 24:13-35), highlight some of the different layers of meaning in the text, and connect the significance of the resurrection to our quest for contentment.

Here you will find the YouTube video version, the audio-only download (underneath), and the extra ‘Growing Deeper’ in-depth background content from The Pulse Podcast.

Audio-only version:

Extra ‘Growing Deeper’ content: “Eden restored, paradise in a person, and finding contentment on the road to Emmaus.
