Christ is in the Control Room [Sermon]

People are often left scratching their heads when it comes to the significance of Jesus’ ascension to be at his heavenly Father’s right hand after his resurrection.

It can seem weird, irrelevant, perhaps even unimportant. But it is anything but.

What if I were to tell you that a deeper understanding of this important event could actually bring you less worry and more peace, and also less fear and more confidence as you live through stumblesome days?

In this sermon from May 26, 2021 I take us through Luke 24:50-53, discuss the background to the passage, point out how it relates to the Apostles’ Creed and other New Testament texts about Jesus being at the “right hand” of his heavenly Father, and the difference it makes in the life of today’s believer, whether they live in Tokyo, Rio or Oro.

The YouTube version of the sermon is here, and the audio-only download is underneath. Also provided is a link to the extra background material called “growing deeper” as a part of The Pulse Podcast.
