The Endangered Recipe for Greatness [Sermon]

The world around us blasts us with messages about the importance of power, independence and control. But, ironically, humility is the recipe for greatness in the eyes of God. In the ever-relevant and counter-cultural words of John the Baptist, “[Jesus] must become greater; I must become less.”

This sermon on John 3:22-36 takes us through the text, defines the endangered virtue — humility — and outlines how we might yield to Jesus in our thoughts, in our dealings with annoying people, and when we come up against anxiety or uncertainty about the future.

The message is called “The Endangered Recipe for Greatness.”

  1. Hi, Matthew! I wish I could remember who sad it – “You can ask God for humility, but you can never thank Him for answering your request.” Blessings, and be well! Rory ________________________________
