Peter’s redemption, past mistakes, and 153 fish (Growing Deeper with John 21)

Do you love me? That’s the question the resurrected Jesus asked Peter. It was not insignificant, especially in light of Peter’s past denials.

Peter affirmed his love and was given a job to do. Why would that have been important for the continuing church, and what bearing does it have on our own discipleship?

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at John 21. It’s our final study segment on the Gospel of John.

I take us through the text which includes the miraculous catch of fish, an important interchange with Peter and John, and the closing verses.

Enjoy!

The sermon that goes along with this same section of text is called “Failure doesn’t disqualify you” and can be accessed here.
