Bless the LORD, O My Soul (Growing Deeper with Psalm 103)

It was Thomas More who said: “We write in the sand the benefits we receive, but injuries upon marble.”

Yup, we quickly forget the good things that have happened to us, but not the bad. For some reason, they more easily cling to our minds and hearts.

Psalm 103 seeks to reverse our frequent and unfortunate memory lapses by recounting the never-ending goodness of God.

For generations, Psalm 103 has helped people remember and encouraged them to “bless” (or “praise”) the Lord. But what does that even mean?

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at Psalm 103.

I take us through the text, line by line, and try to draw out some of the nuance and meaning which can easily be lost.

Enjoy!
