My eyes are not raised too high (Growing Deeper with Psalm 131)

Psalm 131 is short, sweet, personal and powerful.

In life you can feel chaotic, threatened, confused or anxious. So with a posture of humility, David conjures a helpful metaphor of a young child with it’s mother. It is calm, quiet, at rest, and trusting.

In a world like ours, talk about something to shoot for.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at Psalm 131.

I take us through the text, providing some background and explanation.

Enjoy!

The sermon connected to this same section of text is called “I have calmed and quieted my soul” and can be accessed here.
