Pleasing God not people when things get intense (Growing Deeper with 1 Thessalonians 2:1-16)

Paul and his companions were able to speak boldly about Jesus even in the midst of riots, beatings and jail-time.

Their boldness flowed from a great hope and confident in the God who was making all things new. Mediocre news isn’t urgent. Incredible news is!

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at 1 Thessalonians 2:1-16.

I take us through the text, provide some background and context, and suggest some possible applications to our lives today.

Enjoy!

The sermon that goes along with this same section of text is called “Preparing to honour God in big situations” and can be accessed here.
