Daniel was probably about 15 when terror struck. His city was besieged and he was taken hostage. Many of his family members were most likely killed. Houses would have been burned. He and some friends were exiled over 1200 kilometres away to Babylon. Their names were changed. They were probably castrated. Then they started training to serve the very King who had taken away most of everything they knew and loved.
What would you do in that situation?
This sermon is Part 1 in a teaching series on the book of Daniel. We unpack the text, learn about the 6th century B.C., and start to discover what we do (or don’t) have in common with Daniel. It’s a book full of famous stories and inspiring moments, but also mystery and apocalyptic messages about the end of days.
Who are you when absolutely everything is stripped away?
