Your Divine D.N.A. [Sermon]

We tend to downplay (or misunderstand) what it means to be adopted by God. It is actually a new special status of incomprehensible value that you do not have outside of faith in Christ.

It gives us assurance through life and also invites life-change in the grace and truth of Jesus. Adoption = assurance + action.

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…” (John 1:12)

This sermon is a part of a journey through John’s Gospel and takes us through John 1:6-18. I provide background context, explain key words and phrases, and give some applications to our lives today.

It is called “Your Divine D.N.A.”

The YouTube version is below, and the audio-only download is underneath. At the bottom you can find the extra “Growing Deeper” background content as a part of The Pulse Podcast.
