The Great ‘I Am,’ and the eternal pre-existence of Jesus (Growing Deeper with John 8:48-59)

Not only was Jesus telling them that he lived before Abraham (who lived 2000 years before Jesus appeared on earth), but he applied the divine name of God (“I Am”) to himself. Since claiming to be God was punishable by stoning, they picked up stones.

But here’s the thing. He was truthful not delusional.
