Not only was Jesus telling them that he lived before Abraham (who lived 2000 years before Jesus appeared on earth), but he applied the divine name of God (“I Am”) to himself. Since claiming to be God was punishable by stoning, they picked up stones.

But here’s the thing. He was truthful not delusional.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at John 8:48-59.

I take us through the text, line by line, provide background context, and also practical application for our lives today — lives which, as you are well aware, fraught with uncertainty and difficulty.

Enjoy!
