Sir, we wish to see Jesus (Growing Deeper with John 12:20-26)

They had a different culture and customs. They hadn’t seen him before. But they had heard so much about him.

They spotted someone who might be able to make an introduction. “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

When Jesus heard about it he launched into an intense mini-speech about dying to your self and being made totally new for eternal life.

I wonder why. Why not a soft landing? Why wouldn’t he slowly warm them up to the idea that they should kill their tyrannical self-addiction for something better?

Maybe it was because Jesus knows people are looking for serious answers, not superficial answers.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—and in-depth look at John 12:20-26.

I take us through the text, provide some background, and hopefully give us some things to think about when the people around us have a hunger for Jesus.

Enjoy!
