What was the purpose of the census? How far was it from Nazareth to Bethlehem? Was Jesus born inside or outside, and in which month did it happen?
And what has been a major teaching focus during Advent in years past but which has almost totally been forgotten in more recent years?
In 2022 Christmas Day fell on a Sunday. I used a short teaching segment in the worship service at the church I pastor to answer these questions and more. In a casual and interactive way, I talk about something forgotten, some fun facts, and some curiosities from the Christmas story.
