The psalms are much-quoted and much-beloved.
Jesus quoted from the Psalms more than any other book in the Old Testament. Bonhoeffer said they “impregnated the life of the early church.”
Luther said they were a mini Bible. Calvin said they teach us how to pray. Augustine said that in their words we recognize the voice of Christ.
