Adoption, incarnation, and growing in grace and truth (Growing Deeper with John 1:6-18)

Adoption equals assurance plus action. Huh?

When we are adopted by God we are given a new special status. Because of this we have a great assurance as we journey through life. Not only does God love and care for us, but he fights for us too!

As we grow we want to be more like Jesus who is full of “grace and truth” (John 1:14). People tend to favour one over the other. But if we want to be like him we need to be deliberate about both.

Adoption equals assurance plus action.

The Pulse Podcast is about living abundantly wholeheartedly. It includes different kinds of content: Interviews, featured topics, or biblical studies. This episode is the later—an in-depth look at John 1:6-18. This is a part of our journey through this all-important book.

I take us through the text, note background and meaning, and then invite us to consider some applications for our lives today.

Enjoy!
