Martyrs and witnesses—then and now (Growing Deeper with Luke 24:36-49)

This episode is the later—a more in-depth look at Luke 24:36-49, Jesus’ resurrection appearance to the disciples where he demonstrates that he is not a ghost, teaches that he is the fulfilment of prophecy, and commissions a teaching that will change everything.

As I take us through the text, I focus on the idea of being a witness (from verse 48), how witnesses sometimes become martyrs, and how we can be witnesses today, even when that is hard to do and even when it puts us at odds with majority culture.
