Spiritual adultery or fidelity (Sermon)

We don’t mean to to do it. Or, perhaps, sometimes we do. We bypass Jesus as we seek the wisdom, strength or blessing of God.

But isn’t that like cheating on God and who has revealed himself to be in Jesus?

The opposite of spiritual adultery is single-minded fidelity to Jesus.

This is what I explore in this sermon from September 19, 2021 on Hebrews 1:4-14. I provide background to the text, slowly take us through it, and make connections for us to apply to our modern lives today.

The YouTube version of the sermon is here, and the audio-only download is underneath. Also provided is a link to the extra background material called “growing deeper” as a part of The Pulse Podcast.

As mentioned, you can also access the extra background content as a part of The Pulse Podcast with Matthew Ruttan by going here (or by finding it wherever you subscribe to podcasts — iTunes (Apple), Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher or TuneIn). It’s called “Angels, Jesus, and preferring pebbles to pearls.”
